MAKE IT HOT
flutters

Gwyneth Bolton emerges with installment number 2 of the Hightower Series with Make It Hot.

Samantha Dash is prepared to provide physical therapy to the local firefighter hero with the nice laugh and smile that she has seen flashed across her television screen since he was injured.  What she was not prepared for was the mean man that seemed to have invaded his body since the accident.

Joel Hightower is not able to accept the fact that his back will not allow him to continue in the career that he loves.  To him being a firefighter is everything.  To make matters worse he goes to his first physical therapy appointment and is kept waiting. Joel then turns into Samantha’s worst nightmare as she aptly names him her “surly” patient.

Samantha on the other hand has had enough of letting him get away with his smart mouth and snide comments.  She not only tells him that he should be grateful that he is alive; she also adds insult to injury when she disses his favorite sports teams causing him to give her the nickname of Miss little spit fire.

Miss Spitfire and Mr. Surly remain at odds as their work relationship nears an end.  As if a light flickered on; Joel realizes that he is attracted to Samantha and sets out to show her that they can be together even though it goes against her preset work ethics.

Thinking with her heart and not her mind, Samantha decides that she wants to be with him. Just as they start their exploration in walks his off the hook Aunt Sophie.  Sophie calls her all types of vulgar names and even goes as far as filing a report with Samantha’s her job for solicitation.  As if Samantha doesn’t have enough on her plate; she gets a phone call that her mom is dying.

True to the Hightower fashion, Joel steps up and is there for Samantha as she goes through one of the most difficult times in her life and he proves that his love is for the long haul.  Knowing that he is there and the type of man that he is, Samantha attempts to confront Sophie to clear the air so that she and Joel can be together.  Unbeknownst to her; there is no middle ground with that woman.

Will Joel and Samantha get to enjoy each other or will she say to heck with it and treat Aunt Sophie to the much needed snatch up that she deserves?

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am going to pretend that I am a Genie and see if I can blink me one of them Hightower men…
